While Riku and Roland were out sailboarding on Saturday morning (19 November) I spotted 2 large fins 200m away. As a precautionary measure we got the cubs and their boards back to the boat shed.
The Cubs with their mothers Cate and Kyoko piled into the scout runabout and went out to investigate the fins.
Out from Clive Park we came across a pod of 6 large dolphins.
A BIG thank you to Keith Clarke for putting his carpentry skills to good use (again) to install a new awning made from the starboard half of a decommissioned sailing dingy.
The front door has also been repainted to match the new awning.
Also thank you to Lisa Allshire for putting her sign writing skills to good use. Lisa is not only an artist but she was a professional sign writer.
The new awning and signage was completed in good time before our Annual Christmas Tree Sale! It really does give the face of the Hall a lot more character.
