The membership year runs from April to March the following year. Fees are pro-rated on a quarterly basis for new members joining during the membership year and are invoiced by the Treasurer.
Children of fully trained leaders receive full remission of fees.
There is a fee from Scouts NSW to be a member of Australian Scouting. Families can redeem both their Active Kids vouchers with Scouts NSW and apply them against their fees for Scouts. Information on current Scouts NSW fees is here,
There is a local Group fee which covers equipment, costs for leaders and buildings and maintenance, which is $130 per year. This is paid directly to 1st Northbridge Scouts.
It is a condition of membership that the Cub / Scout / Venturer and their family will assist the group with working bees and fundraising including Bunnings BBQ’s and our most significant annual fundraiser, the Christmas Tree sales. Parents are also expected to take on one committee or other coordinating role for one year during the scouting journey of their child/children. Your participation is essential to the good management of the 1st Northbridge Scout Group.
